More New Papers and Ephemera

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick catch up today as I am busy packing for my holidays in Mexico.

I promised a couple more samples from Emerald City Crafts UK and here they are.

This card is for the true romantic and perfect for an anniversary card or just to tell your wife/husband/partner they are loved. I used some Tattered Lace die corners and little roses to compliment the colours in the papers

The ephemera and matching papers go together so well they help to take the stress out of card making because the minute you see them together the creative juices just start flowing with ideas So if you are having a bit of a mental block at the moment look no further than Linda's designs.

Doesn't this one make you go arrrrrrrrr. Look at that face on the little dog.
A few little embellishments and there you have it another birthday card ready to send.

So that's me for this week folks, I will see you when I get back from my hols.

Take Care

A Tale of Two Christmas Cards

Hi Everyone,

Brrrr it's getting cold isn't it, winter has hit big time.

Last time I shared a vintage Christmas card for my lovely mum-in-law and this time I am going to share the card I have made for my mum. They are both very different just like our mum's.

Mum looks nothing like this pic but she does love her red wine lol!

The background papers are from Debbie Moore's Inspiration magazine and the image is a copyright free one from the Internet. Ribbons etc from my extensive stash ;-)

Have a great Sunday and forget it's Monday tomorrow and back to work

Take care

Gill xx

Bits and Bobs Box

Hi Everyone,

My goodness what a busy few days it has been, I have barely crafted and am now getting withdrawal symptoms so I have sat here all evening making a retirement card and submitting my samples for the Personal Impressions Blog. I do hope you get a chance to pop over there and have a look at our samples.

Tonight I am going to share a bits and bobs box my lovely friend Paula asked me to make her for her dressing table.

The photo's are not great I have to admit but hopefully you get the idea.

The products I used for this are:

Box from Hobby Craft
Wallpaper sample from B&Q (which covered the box beautifully)
Flowers from Tim Holtz Alterations Die - Tattered Flower Garland
Butterfly die - sorry can't remember the make as it is no longer in it's packaging and I have had it for ages

This is so easy to make and looks really pretty.

I am off to make a few Christmas cards now so will be back soon with more makes to share. xxxx

Delighted to have a Comment

I was delighted to get a comment on one of my posts today, as I said I have been disheartened that there didn't appear to be anyone out there checking in.

Oh well third time lucky I am going to give this blogging lark another go.

I have been really busy making absolutely allsorts lately. I am loving sewing more thank card making at the moment. I blog hop constantly (even at lunch time in work) but still have not got the hand of followers etc so will have to work on that.

Last Sunday I had a stall at the Altzeimers Memory Walk in Aintree Race Course. I was really pleased with the way it went and got a lot of good comments, many asking if I had a web site were I sell my crafts. Well guess what I haven't as it is another thing I keep meaning to do!! The problem is I have soooo many crafty things that I want to do I just spend all my spare time creating.

To get back to the comment my craft area is finished and looks fab. The colour scheme in the family room / kitchen is black red and white. I have to say though it is very messy with all the projects I have going on.

On a work note I have had an interview for promotion this week but have to wait until Monday for the results so watch this space.

Here are a few pics if the crafts I have been working in lately

I made my Mum a fascinator for a wedding and got the bug so made the two above as well
This is a tooth fairy set comprising of a pillow with a pocket for the tooth, a certificate and little story
A couple from the toofy peg family
Just one of my hair accessories

Oh well thats it for tonight I am off the watch the fabulous The Only is Essex ;-)

I'll be back soon

Love

Gill
