There's a Baby on the Way

Hi Everyone,

Tonight I am going to share a card I have made for a lovely young couple's baby shower next week. It is such an exciting time for them as it is their first and they have a daughter on the way.

Not the best picture I'm afraid - sorry!

I made this using a stamping Bella stamp and coloured it with LePlume alcohol markers. The backing papers are from Lili of the Valley matted on to grey card.

I also had some fab news this week - I won an art journal challenge on the Junk Journals Junkies Page. I was soooo excited I have never won a challenge before.

Coming up on the 1st of March is more design team work for Emerald City Crafts UK
Linda is launching two new designs from her collection. Madamoiselle, a beautiful collection of couture ladies and papers and Nostalgia, a stunning collection of Victorian ephemera and papers.
I am lucky enough to have been designing with them this weekend and all I can say is WOW!

Keep your eyes out for the launch and order you won't be dissapointed

So that's me for now I'll be back on the 1st March. Until then take care

Gill xx

Mad Hatter

Hi Everyone,

It's my birthday today so I want to share some top hat party props I have made using .............. you guessed it Emerald City Crafts UK papers. I have challenged myself to make as many different things as possible so you can see how versatile they are.

This one is using the Les Beaux Oiseaux papers and ephemera, a few feather die cuts, and some little flowers from my stash

This one has a wall hanger added to it. I used the steam punked papers and ephemera, little roses and an mdf key coloured gold

And finally another one with steam punked papers and ephemera, die cut cogs and a metal key and lock. I have aged it all with some rust paint and gold wax

All three together on my vintage shaby chic box

I really enjoyed making these and am sure they are not the last ones I will make ;-)

A Little Gift Box

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around for a few weeks, it is all so busy here with making chalk board signs for my cousins wedding and table decorations for the big Aintree Ladies Day charity day my mum and her friend Glo organise every year. I can't wait to share this with you but until the day it is top secret.

In between this I have managed to make a quick gift box using Emerald City Crafts UK papers and ephemera.
I used papers from each of the Steampunked and Les beaux oiseaux to show you how well they mix and match. The Box was made with the 6x6 papers and the embellishments were die cuts from my stash. The best thing about it is the papers are of such good quality and weight they are perfect for small boxes. I lined the base with more papers just to finish off the look but it is not essential.

If you are looking for a quick gift box for a jewelry gift them this is just the job. Quick but beautiful is my new moto because I have sooooo many ideas running through my head there is never enough time in the day to create.

So that is me for today, I am going to crack on with the table decorations for an hour or two then get ready for a nice little carvery with my hubby, mum, brother and sister-in-law.

I have entered this little box in the following blog challenges

See you next time. Take care
