Nostalgia Canvas

Hi Everyone,

Here I am again showing another creation using Emerald City Crafts UK Nostalgia papers and ephemera.

The images are just lovely some of which are from original family photo's so they truly are a one off.

This Canvas is of a lovely Gentleman and would look great on the wall of an office

All the paper you see is from Emerald City and the bits and bobs are from my stash. I distressed everything with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain distress ink

Hope you like what you see and don't forget to leave me a little comment and say hello

Take care

Mothers Day Gift

Hi Everyone,

Mothers Day is just around the corner so I thought I would share a paper craft gift with a difference with you today.

Yes I have used Emerald City Crafts UK papers for this. I try to think outside the box and make as many different things with them as I can because they are such a good weight and I want to show lots of ways you can use them.

So here it is .... a pair of paper bead bracelets.

I made two, one with little pearls and one plain

A close up with the pearls

I have used the little gift box I made from Les Beaux Oiseaux collection  to finish off the gift

And here is my wrinkly wrist showing what they look like on

So how did I make them?

I marked half inch lines on the back of the A4 paper and then in each line I marked diagonally before cutting them out. Once all the pieces were cut I rolled each piece tightly around a cocktail stick and glued the end down. It takes a bit of practice but I got there.

And to finish off the Mothers day gifts I made a couple of fridge magnets. My mother in law collects them so I will pop these with her other gifts

All the papers used in this post are from the Madamoiselle Collection

Next time I am going to shown you a picture using the Nostalgia Collection.

If you have ordered and used the papers let me know what you think in the comments

Until next time, take care

Love

Hero

Hi Everyone,

So here we are again showcasing the second of the new Emerald City Craft UK papers and ephemera. This time it is Nostalgia a stunning collection of nostalgic images from days gone by and matching papers.

I decided to do a journal page this time to show the versatility of the papers. I chose a background paper that was quite plain in design and a picture of a sailor and soldier enhanced with poppies

After putting down a thin layer of gesso I stenciled some poppies using red and green inks. Using the gesso made the paper matte and gave the ability to take the inks perfectly

Finally I distressed the edges, added the picture, a paper poppy and a sentiment.

The sentiment says:
Being a HERO doesn't mean you're invincible
It just means that you're BRAVE enough
to stand up and Do what's needed

Thanks for visiting again and watch this space for more ideas on how to use the papers and ephemera

Take care

A New Launch from Emerald City Crafts UK

HI Everyone,

Here is the launch from Emerald City Crafts UK I was telling you about on Sunday. I hope you like the papers and ephemora as much as I do.

I have made a bow card (template from Sandras scrap) using the A4 papers and one of the smaller images, added a few flowers and leaves and the sentiment from the image

The card is a big card so I needed a box to put it in. I used three sheets of polka dot 12x12 card to make the box and decorated the top using the larger postcard size ephemera, matching A 4 papers and some die cut swirls and flowers. I finished it off with a die cut bow all from the Madamoiselle papers

Finally here is the closed box.

If you need a fabulous card for your Mum on Mothers day this collection is perfect.

Look out for my next blog when I will showcasing the Nostalgia papers
